Photography in latin America
"A spiritual journey"

Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Tentaciones en Case de Antonio, 1902
- Photography in Latin America: A Spiritual Journey Approximately 80
photographs, mostly landscapes and portraits, as taken by photographers
intimate with uniqueness of Latin American culture such as Manuel Alvarez
Bravo, Graciela Iturbide, and Mariana Yampolsky. Religion, death, mysticism,
and tradition are among the common themes explored in each of the works.
Composed entirely from the Museum's collection, each photographer will
be represented by several works, allowing for a better representation of
individual vision. Additionally, part of the exhibition will display very
early ethnographic and archaeological photographs of Latin America.
