THE TERRITORIAL VOLCANO

As you will notice from the picture, the Territorial Volcano holds its own when compared to Vesuvius, even more so when compared to Stromboli. Its specific geographic relief may be ascribed to the lava and fantasising projections that emerged from the cracks of collective subconsciousness. One of the cracks which unveils the Earth's stomach in its centre every nine months, is to be found on the northern border of the Territory, a few hundred metres away from the N1. Indigenous people have named the Territorial Volcano "l'oeil de cain" or Cain's eye.
